Welcome to the Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop

The theme this month is Shapes

When I saw what this month’s theme was I knew what stamp set I was going to use for my scrapbook layout using different shapes. Of course I just had to use the Watercolour Shapes. I also wanted to use the 2022-2024 In Colors as they are so vibrant and go so well together.

How to make a Scrapbook Layout using Different Shapes

I started by inking up the stamps and then spritzing before stamping onto watercolour paper. I have used this technique on cards before and thought it would work on a larger area. Click here to see the cards I made using this technique. Unfortunately I was not happy with it.

So on to plan B. This time I stamped straight onto the watercolour paper.

Next I took a piece of Basic Black 12×12 card stock. Yes Stampin’ Up! have brought back the 12×12 Basic Black card stock. I then cut the watercolour paper to fit.

I then die cut out the circles from the Layered Circles dies in Basic Black and Basic White card stock these will be either for journalling or adding embellishments later. Next I cut a mat layer for a photo out of Basic Black card stock. I then cut a rectangle out of Basic Black and Basic White card stock to add a title later.

Deciding how to do the scrapbook layout using the different die cut shapes

Now came the fun part. Deciding how I would add the die cuts to the scrapbook layout. As you can see there are ways I can use this layout.

Which one would you choose?

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my Scrapbook Layouts using different shapes. Once I find a suitable photo I will post my finished layout so you can see which layout I chose in the end.

Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
