Welcome to this month’s Colour Combo Blog Hop
The colour combo for this month is Real Red, Pale Papaya and Gorgeous Grape
For my project this month I wanted to use the Watercolour Shapes to make a selection of stamped water coloured cards that I could then add a sentiment when I needed to use one. I wanted to explore how they would look on a 10cmx10cm card base. In December I CASEd the card in the Annual Catalogue that used this stamp set.
How to make the Stamped Water Coloured Cards
First I cut four 10cm x 10cm card bases using Basic White Thick card stock.
Next I cut four 9cm x 9cm pieces of Watercolour paper. I then used the three colours and the circle stamps to stamp onto the Watercolour paper. Before I stamped the inked image onto the watercolour paper I spritzed it with water.
Once I was happy with the stamped images I put them to one side to dry. You will notice that as I spritzed the inked image some sprayed onto the watercolour paper so I have a spotty background to each card.
Once the ink was dry I debated on what colour mat layer I could use and decided to use Basic Black card stock. I then cut four 9.5cm x 9.5cm mat layers and stuck them onto the card bases. Finally I stuck the card front onto the mat layer.
I enjoyed making these simple cards and cannot wait to try them with other colour combinations.
Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
