The theme this month has to be New Beginnings.

When I saw that this month’s theme was a New Beginnings Scrapbook Layout I knew exactly what my topic was going to be.

2020 is certainly going to be a new beginning for my son as he is about to complete on the purchase of his first house. It is a brand new, newly built house so I have made a start on producing a double scrapbook layout. This double layout will go in the album marking his life.

How I made my Son’s New Beginnings Scrapbook Layout

By using the above photograph I decided to copy the layout of the windows and doors. I decided that I will do my journaling onto the door and use the smaller upstairs window for the date that he moves in.

As the house is currently being finished we have not been able to see inside the house I am having to wait to take photographs. It is not easy taking photographs by looking through the windows.

How I finished my Son’s New Beginnings Scrapbook Layout

I made the title by stamping the words onto Mango Melody card stock using the Lined Alphabet stamp set. Next I stuck these words onto a strip of Garden Green card stock at a jaunty angle.

I will post a photograph of the finished layout once my son gets the key and we can see inside.

I hope my layout has given you some inspiration to have a go at scrapbooking yourself.
