Welcome, today I am taking part in the Friends of SUBA blog hop.

We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrator friends that have met through attending fantastic Simply Unique Business Angels courses, run by Louise Sims and Pip Todman, to help with the technology side of our business.  They are highly recommended by all of us.  You can find out more here.

Whether you have just join our blog hop or hopped over from Caro I hope you enjoy our projects.

This month our theme is of cause Sale-A-Bration. For the period 3 January through to 31st March Stampin’ Up! hold their biggest promotion. For every £45 spent in one order you can choose a FREE product from their Sale-A-Bration catalogue.

The product I am showcasing is the Botanical Butterfly designer series paper. This paper is simple gorgeous and I did not really want to use it. I decided to bite the bullet and do a ‘One Sheet Wonder’ using one of the 12×12″ DSP.

As I have never done this type of project I had a quick look on Pinterest and found this One Sheet Wonder template.

I decided to use the Beauty Abounds Bundle with this DSP as I have not really used this lovely new bundle.

I chose to use one A4 sheet of Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, Lemon Lime Twist and Grapefruit Grove to make the card bases which I will attach it Whisper White card stock.

I also decided to use the same colour ink pads. These I used to stamp background onto the same colour card stock.

Here are the cards I have made:

I hope you have loved the cards I have made using One Sheet Wonder.  Please do leave comments as you hop around and see what the others have done.  Please click on the next button to see what Deborah has made.

Stamp Hop January Blog Hop

Stampin n crafting Logo

Welcome.  Today I am taking part in the Stamp & Hop Blog Hop where the theme for this blog hop is Sale-A-Bration.

For the months of January, February and March every year, Stampin’ Up! hold a fantastic promotion.  Here in the UK for every £45.00 spent on products you can choose a FREE project from their Sale-A-Bration catalogue.  There are even a couple for you to choose if you spend £90.00!

In this year’s SAB catalogue we have the Botanical Butterfly DSP.  And as everyone knows I love Butterflies so I am a very happy person.  I have finally managed to stop ‘stroking’ the DSP and use it.

For those of us who work full time and when free time is limited we sometimes want a simple note card.  For this Blog Hop I have decided to show 3 very simple 10x10cm note cards that you can make with minimal products.

The Botanical Butterfly DSP is so versatile that you can just use it to make a simple card.

I took Highland Heather card stock and cut it into 9x9cm squares.  Then I cut the DSP into 3×3″squares.  This was stuck onto the Highland Heather card stock and then stuck onto Whisper White card base.

As you can see there is black and white DSP which can be coloured in so I did a background using the Gorgeous Grape water colouring pencil and an aqua painter.  Add a few gems and as a certain Meerkat in the UK says ‘SIMPLES’

I hope you have enjoyed my samples.  Please do leave comments as you Hop around.

Stamp N Hop – Masculine

Stampin n crafting Logo

Welcome to another Stamp & Hop Blog Hop

Stamp 'n Hop Logo

The theme for August is MasculinE

Hello you may have hopped over to me from Susan and seen the lovely project she has done or you have just joined the Blog Hop with me.

I fell in love with the Elephant bundle and could not wait to make a baby card with it.  As the theme this month is Masculine I decided to first make a male baby card.

Card 1

Card 1 Aug 2018

For this card I started off by inking up the Tufted embossing folder with Balmy Blue ink.  A piece of Whisper White card stock was then laid onto the ink and embossed.

A piece of Balmy Blue card stack was stuck on to make a back ground for the elephants and sentiments.  I then stamped the elephants in Balmy Blue ink and punched them out.

To finish off the card I stamped the hearts and die cut using the heart die from Up & Away Thinlits and stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Whisper White banner from the Bunch of Banners Framelits.

Cards 2 & 3

Card 2 Aug 2018Card 3 Aug 2018

For these cards I decided to use set colours which were Merry Merlot, Blackberry Bliss and Pool Party.

I wanted to use the Lift Me Up stamp set and matching dies as I had not used these in a while.

If you have visited me before you will know that I love making my own back ground paper so stamped the clouds in Pool Party all over a piece of Whisper White card stock and cut to size.  I stamped some medium sized balloons and die cut them out.  These were then glued onto the card base.

I then die cut the large balloon and matching back ground dies in Pool Party and Whisper White card stock.  These were then glued to the back of the die cut balloon.  I wanted them to be slightly raised so Stampin Dimensionals were used.  The sentiment was stamped onto a Whisper White cloud in Blackberry Bliss and backed to a Pool Party cloud.

To finish off the cards I used the Clear Rhinestones.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at the cards I made for this blog hop.  Please do leave comments as you hop around this blog hop.

Colour Combo July 2018 Blog Hop

Welcome to the Colour Combo monthly blog hop where you are given 3 colours to use for your project.  This month we have been given the colours Petal Pink, Balmy Blue and Night of Navy.  Petal Pink and Balmy Blue are 2 of our new colours following our recent colour revamp.

This month I decided to use the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and the Bouquet Bunch Framelits dies as I ordered them a while ago but have not yet to use them.

Card Base

I chose to have a Night of Navy card stock mat layer, then a Balmy Blue card stock mat layer.  The next layer is Whisper White card stock which has been embossed using the Tufted Dynamic textured impressions embossing folder.

Beautiful Bouquet Birthday Card

Decoration

For the sentiment I used the ‘Happy Birthday’ from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.  This was stamped using Night of Navy Ink onto Petal Pink card stock.  This was then die cut using the Square Stitched Shapes Framelits.  Frames were also cut out frames using Balmy Blue and Night of Navy card stock and the Square Stitched Shapes Framelits .

Finally I die cut some bunches of flowers, leaves and a bow using scraps and added a rhinestone to the bow to finish it off.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my project.  Please do leave comments before you click on the next button to visit Anastasia and she what she has made using the 3 colours given to us.

Stampin Dreams June Blog Hop

Welcome to Stampin’ Dreams June Blog Hop.

The theme for this month is Birthdays.

This is a global blog hop and you have just arrived in England.  I hope you enjoy my birthday cards.

If like me you have bought stamp sets but not quite got round to using them, well, Graceful Garden was one of those that I had.  I chose the roses as in England most of our roses start blooming in our gardens.

Here are the two cards I came up with.

Rose cards x2

Card 1

Rose card 1

This card is a basic A6 card base with a mint macaron card  stock mat layer.  I stamped the rose onto a Whisper White mat layer using Black Memento Ink.  I used Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry watercolour pencils to colour in the rose and blended together using the blender pen.  The leaves were colouring in using Old Olive watercolour pencil.

I edged the rose petals and tops of the leaves with Wink of Stella to give it a slight shimmer.

The sentiment is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set in Mint Macaron to match the mat layer.  I finished off the card with 3 Rhinestones.

Card 2

Rose card 2

This card style is a new one that I was shown at a recent team meeting.  For this card I used Basic Black, Mint Macaron and Whisper White card stock to make mat layers on both front sides of the card.  I stamped the sentiment from Picture Perfect Birthday, in Black Memento Ink.

The roses and rose leaves are also from the Graceful Garden stamp set and are stamped in Black Memento Ink and coloured in using the same colours as card 1.   I then fussy cut them out and arranged them onto the whisper white mat layer.

I hope the two cards you’ve seen here on my blog today have inspired you & brightened your day.

Please do leave a comment before using the list below to hop through all of the people on the list to see all our projects. You don’t want to miss any!

Home Decor SU Style Blog Hop June 2018

Welcome to Stampin ‘n’ Crafting with cheryldiana.

I am an independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator from England.  You may have just started with me or just visited Danielle and seen her lovely project.

Today I am taking part in a slightly different blog hop which involves a project for Home Decor.  This is the first time I have taken part in the Home Decor SU Style Blog Hop.  For those of you attending my all day class on Saturday this is one of the projects we will be making.

During a visit with my Demo Upline Sandra Roberts to IKEA we came across the Malma mirrors and knew we could use them with mixed media to make a project.  So of course we bought a couple to try out.

As I was driving to a Business demo meeting at Sandra’s, I was thinking about how I could decorate the mirror for my all day class.  As some of you already know I love pink and butterflies.  I did not have the new butterfly die so I was thinking of using the Dragonfly Dies instead.

When I arrived at Sandra’s, she was doing a mixed media class that day.  I was really surprised to find that she was using the mirror for the project and the dragonflies.  She was also using mint macaron and Share What You Love DSP.

When her class had finished I was able to use Sandra’s resources to make my version of her project.

This is what I came up with:

Finished mirror with mixed media frame

For my mirror I decided to use Blackberry Bliss reinker as the main colour theme.

First the mirror was painted in White Gesso, then corrigated cardboard was glued on to give it some texture, builders scrim was then added for a different texture and using the embossing paste and brick mask to add another texture.

Mirror frame before spraying with colour

This was allowed to dry before spritzing with Blackberry Bliss Ink.

Mirror with spritzed coloured frame

Once everything was dry, areas were then stamped in black memento ink using the Post Script stamp.

To decorate the mirror

Dragonflies and bees were die cut out 3 times using Basic Black card stock and stuck together to make them more sturdier.  The leaves were cut using the Flourish Thinlits in Pear Pizzazz card stock.  3D flowers were made using the layering circles dies with the scalloped edge and Blackberry Bliss, Melon Mambo and Powder Pink card stock.

As the current Stampin’ Up! letter dies were too big for this project I did have to use a retired product.  I chose the word Inspire as it is one of the Stampin’ Up! main words these were painted with crystal effects to give them a shiny look.

Once everything was stuck in place, the mirror was spritzed using Wink of Stella diluted with polypropylene to give it all a sparkle.

I am really pleased with how the mirror turned out and I hope you like it as much.  Please do leave a comment before you hop on over to Leonie in Australia.
