Welcome to this month’s Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop.
This Month’s Theme is: New Beginnings.
As I have had new neighbours moving in this last couple of weeks I thought I would make a Welcome to Your New Home card to welcome them to our street. I love the Humble Home stamp set and matching punch so I knew I wanted to use them but I did not realise that one of the designer series papers in the Storybook Moments had a page of different village houses so of course I had to use this for my Welcome to your new home card. This is a really quick and simple card to make so useful when you need a card in a short time.
How I made my Welcome to Your New Home card.
First I cut an A6 landscape card base using Basic Beige card stock. I then cut a mat layer using Pebbled Path card stock as it was one of the colours in the designer series paper I wanted to use. Next I cut another mat layer using the village houses side of the designer series paper. That is just how simple this card is to make.
For my sentiment I wanted something small as I wanted to show more of the designer series paper so I stamped the bricks of the house using Basic Beige ink onto a piece of Basic Beige card stock. Next I stamped the house roof using Pebbled Path ink before stamping out the house using the Humbled Home Builder punch. I then stamped the ‘Welcome’ sentiment onto a scrap of Basic Beige card stock and fussy cut around the word before sticking it onto the house. Finally I added the punched out house to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
