The theme this month is Samplers

I decided to make two samplers to showcase the lovely Playful Pets Designer Series Paper (DSP) and to show that you can make samplers be using minimal products.

I started off by cutting one sheet of the Playful Pets DSP into a 9″ square, this is the base layer for the samplers.

Next I cut Basic Black card stock into 2.5″ squares and 2 strips 2.5″ by 5.5”

Then I cut DSP into 2.25″ squares to make a mat layer and using Flirty Flamingo card stock I cut 1.5″ squares.

For the 2 longer strips I cut the Flirty Flamingo card stock into a 2.25″ x 5.25″ strip.

I then stuck the layers together to make mat layers for the samplers.

Next I fussy cut out the cats and dogs from the Playful Pets DSP before sticking them onto the various cards.

To finish off the samplers I mounted the various card bases onto the 9″x9″ DSP before putting into a box frame.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing the two samplers I have made and that you have an idea to go away and have a go yourself.
