Tech 4 Stampers Academy Blog Hop Title

Welcome to this month’s Tech 4 Stampers Academy Blog Hop.

This month’s theme is: Fancy Fold.

For this blog hop I decided to show the theatre fancy fold birthday card I made my husband to celebrate his 60th birthday. I learnt how to make this type of fancy fold during a Mystery Stamping session at a recent Team meeting. The card I learnt fitted an A6 envelope so I decided to make it using a whole sheet of A4 card stock instead of using the normal half sheet.

How I made my Theatre Fancy Fold Birthday Card

Photograph of finished Theatre Fancy Fold Birthday Card

First I took a piece of Basic White card stock and scored it at both ends to make a double folded flap. I then cut two strips of Basic White card stock. These will be the top and bottom panels.

Next I cut the Wildflower Celebration Specialty DSP to make mat layers for the top, bottom and side panels and stuck them onto the two pieces of Basic White card stock and side flaps.

I then stuck the top and bottom panels to the card base.

Next using the Large Number dies (retired) I die cut out the numbers ‘6’ and ‘0’ using Distressed Gold Specialty paper (retired). I then cut a strip of acetate into two small strips and added to the back of the numbers using glue dots.

Next I cut out one of the boxes from the DSP and stamped ‘Happy Birthday’ onto it using Blueberry Bushel ink before sticking it to the bottom right-hand corner of the card.

I then added two of the bunches of balloons to each side of the card and stuck one of the tassel banners across the top left-hand side of the card.

This collection of products are really great for creating those special birthday cards for loved ones. I have also been using them to make some scrapbook layouts on my You Tube Channel. Click here for my YouTube Channel.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my Theatre Fancy Fold Birthday Card, Hubby absolutely adored it so why not have a go at using these products to make your own birthday cards and please do share them onto my Facebook.
