This month’s theme is 2020-2020 In Colors

This is an exciting time in the Stampin’ Up! year as in June SU release their NEW Annual Catalogue. Not only do we get a chance to see the new products but we also get to find out the 5 In Colors for that year.

The NEW In Colors this year are: Magenta Madness, Misty Moonlight, Just Jade, Bumblebee and Cinnamon Cider. These 5 colours will be available until the end of May 2022.

I decided I wanted to make 5 cards using one colour per card.

I started with a 10cm x 10cm Whisper White card base.

Then I cut a 9.5cm x 9.5cm mat layer out of each colour card stock and glued this onto the Whisper White card base.

Next I used the watercolour paper to cut 5 pieces each one 9cm x 9cm.

I used Black Memento Ink to stamp the Zebra image from Zany Zebras stamp set and the ‘Sending you paper hugs’ from the Comfort and Hope stamp set.

Making sure the ink was dry I used a stamp block to put some ink from each ink pad on and used that and an aqua painter to do a coloured wash over the Zebra and sentiment.

Once the watercolour paper was dry I glued it onto the mat layer.

I love how these cards turned out and cant wait to try it with more of the Stampin’ Up! colours.
