Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop

The theme this month is Favourite Season

Having a birthday in November often means that I have trouble doing anything to celebrate without getting tied up in the Christmas Party season. But despite this Christmas is still my favourite season.

For my project I decided to continue with the Poinsettia Place Suite and using the Designer Series Paper and Stamp Set to make 3 simple Christmas cards.

Christmas Cards using Poinsettia Place Suite

How to make my three Christmas cards for my favourite season

I started by cutting my Whisper White card stock into two 20cm squares. I then scored them at 10cm before cutting them diagonally using my Stampin’ Up! trimmer to make 4 card bases.

Next I cut three pieces of Garden Green card stock into 10 cm squares and cut them diagonally. The Designer Series Paper I cut into three 9.5 cm squares and again cut them diagonally before sticking onto the card bases.

I then cut three 7.5 cm squares using Garden Green card stock and stuck them to the top flap. Remembering to only put glue on half of the square.

Next I cut three 7 cm squares using Whisper White card stock for the stamped images.

Card 1

Favourite Season Christmas Card using Poinsettia Place DSP and Poinsettia Suite

For this card I used the stamps to stamp an image straight onto the card stock. I used Real Red, Garden Green and Daffodil Delight ink pads.

I finished off the card by colouring in the poinsettia using Wink of Stella.

Card 2

Favourite Season Christmas Card using Poinsettia Place DSP, Poinsettia Stamp set and Water colouring pencils

For this card I stamped the Poinsettia image using Black memento ink. I then coloured it in using Real Red and Daffodil Delight water colouring pencils and blender.

I stamped the leaves using Garden Green Ink and finished off by colouring in the petals with Wink of Stella to add some shimmer.

For this card I again stamped the image using Black Memento Ink. Then I coloured in the Poinsettia using Real Red and Daffodil Delight Blends.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at the three Christmas cards I have made for my favourite season and that they have given you some ideas to have a go yourself.

Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
