Tech 4 Stampers Academy Blog Hop Title

Welcome to this month’s Tech 4 Stampers Academy Blog Hop.

This month’s theme is: Boys and Men.

Do you sometimes struggle with ideas for a masculine card well here is a simple masculine thank you card that I made. As we will be losing the 2022-2024 In Colors at the end of this month I decided to use them to colour in my stamped image. Also I only recently ordered the Beside Me stamp set as it has some great images for boy or men to male which are great for a masculine card. The good news is that this stamp set is in the new 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue.

How I made my simple masculine thank you card.

Photo of finished Simple Masculine Thank You Card

First of all I cut a piece of Basic White Thick card stock in half to make a portrait card base. Next I die cut a Basic White mat layer using one of the larger Perennial Postage dies. Then I stamped the image of the man and boy on a bike using Black Memento ink before colouring it in using Stampin’ Blends.

The blends I used were:

  • Orchid Oasis for the man’s trousers and the boy’s shorts
  • Sweet Sorbet for the bike and cycle helmet
  • Smoky Slate for the bike tyres
  • Parakeet Party for the boy’s T-shirt
  • Tahitian Tide for the man’s shirt
  • Stary Sky for the shoes
  • Pecan Pie for the man and boy’s hair
  • SU 1000 from the Natural Tones (Light) for the man and boy’s arms and legs

How I finished my simple masculine thank you card

First I coloured in the handle bars and pedals using Black Stampin’ Write Marker which I also used to make a line border around the dies cut mat layer. Next I stamped the simple sentiment in the bottom right hand corner. I then cut a Orchid Oasis mat layer and stuck it onto the card base. Next I mounted the stamped mat layer onto the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Finally I coloured in some Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels using the Orchid Oasis Blends and added to the card front.

I really loved how this simple masculine thank you card has turned out and I love how the 2022-2024 In Colors really go together. Why not have a go at making your own masculine thank you card and share it on my Facebook page.

Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
