Welcome to the Kre8tors February Blog Hop

The theme this month is Sale-a-bration

It is lovely to be joining in with the Kre8tors Blog Hop again. For my project this month I decided to make a couple of simple male birthday cards using the Simply Marbleous 6″x6″ designer series paper from the Sale-a-bration catalogue. If like me you have a lot of male birthdays but work full time then these two cards are so simple to make.

How to make the First Simple Male Birthday Card

Simple Male Birthday Card

I started by making a 10.5cm x 14.85cm landscape card base using Basic White card stock.. Next I cut the Basic Grey/Smoky Slate and Bumblebee/So Saffron designer series paper into 3/4″ strips so that they would fit into the Lovely Labels punch. I cut each piece into 10cm lengths and punched each end. Next I cut a 10cm x 14.3cm mat layer using Basic Black card stock. I then stuck each strip onto the Basic Black mat layer before sticking the mat layer onto the card base. Then I cut a 3/4″ piece of Basic White card stock and stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from Sweet Ice Cream stamp set. using Bumblebee ink. I then punched each end to match the strips before adding it to the card before adding to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

How to make the Second Simple Male Birthday Card

Simple Male Birthday Card

First I started by making a 10.5cm x 14.85cm portrait card base using Basic White card stock. I then cut a 20cm x 14.3cm mat layer using Basic Black card stock. Again I cut the Basic Grey/Smoky Slate and Bumblebee/So Saffron designer series paper into 3/4″ strips. Next I stuck each strip across the mat layer. As you can see I cut them so they were not whole strips across the mat layer.. I then cut a piece of Basic White card stock for the sentiment. Again I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment using Bumblebee. I then cut a mat layer for the sentiment suing Basic Black card stock and added the sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I hope that you have enjoyed seeing how easy it is to make simple male birthday cards using designer series paper.

Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
