Simple Gingerbread Man Flip Flap Layout

The theme for this month has been decided by the talented Sherry Roth.

This is the flip flap layout I designed for a Demonstrator Team event. I chose to use the Gingerbread Man stamp set and matching dies as I thought other demos may not have chosen it and to show how versatile it is to make other projects.

How I made my simple Flip Flap Layout

First I took a 12″x12″ sheet of White Willow card stock as the base to my flip flap layout. I then stamped the words ‘OH snap!’ over the card stock using Crumb Cake and Early Espresso ink. Next I stamped the swirls using Poppy Parade and Garden Green ink.

How I made the Gingerbread Men for my Flip Flap Layout

First I die cut out the gingerbread men using the gingerbread men die and Crumb Cake card stock. I then stamped the gingerbread man outline using Early Espresso ink. Next I stamped each gingerbread man a face and buttons on his tummy. There are 4 different faces with this stamp set. I then cut gingerbread men so that they were separated from each other.

Next I cut 2 mat layers using Crumb Cake card stock and another 2 mat layers using Early Espresso card stock. I then added 3 6″x4″ Flip Flaps to one of the mat layers for my photographs. Using 3 of the gingerbread men I suck 2 onto my stamped background. The remaining 1 I cut up and popped behind the photo mat layers.

How I embellished my Flip Flap Layout.

I decided to give each whole gingerbread man a lolly pop. To make these I cut out the lolly pop using Poppy Parade card stock. Next I cut out the fan shapes using Basic White card stock and stuck it onto the lolly pop base. I added them to each gingerbread man using a Stampin’ Dimensional under each lolly pop and glue for the stick. I finished off by adding 2 Real Red & White Adhesive Backed Peppermints as buttons.

I really enjoyed making my Gingerbread Man Flip Flap layout. Next time I will try to make a gingerbread man with a bit out of him.
