Welcome to this month’s Ink, Stamp, Share Showcase Blog Hop

For this month’s showcase hop I decided to make a simple embossed Just a Note card. I wanted to continue showcasing our lovely designer series papers by using a small square mat layer on top of an embossed mat layer.

How I made my simple embossed Just a Note card.

First I started by cutting a landscape Basic White landscape card base. I then cut a 14.3cm x 10cm mat layer using Bermuda Bay card stock. Next I embossed the Bermuda Bay mat layer using the Gingham Embossing Folder. I love this embossing folder as you can use both sides of the card to get a slightly different mat layer. I then stuck the embossed mat layer onto the card base.

Next I cut a strip of Basic White card stock and a slightly wider strip of Basic Black card stock. I stamped the Just a Note sentiment from the Go To Greetings using Bermuda Bay ink. Then I stuck the Basic White strip on top of the Basic Black strip before sticking it onto the card.

How I finished off my simple embossed Just a Note card.

First I cut a 8.5 cm square using Basic Black card stock. I then cut a 8cm square of the Pretty Prints designer series paper. Then I stuck the designer series paper onto the Basic Black card stock before I added it to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I love how simple this card was to make so I made another one just by changing the designer series paper. Why not have a go at maying your own cards using other designer series paper.
