Welcome to this month’s Tech 4 Stampers Academy Blog Hop.
This month’s theme is: Embossing.
My project this month is a simple embossed greeting card using the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set, matching dies and Hybrid Embossing Folder. Whilst I have made cards using the stamp set I still had not really used the Hybrid Embossing Folder so making this simple embossed greeting card was a great way to use it.
How I made my Simple Embossed Greeting Card

First I cut a 6″ x 6″ card base using a piece of 12″ x 12″ Thick Basic White card stock, Next I cut a 5 3/4″ x 5 3/4″ Basic Black mat layer.
I then added the large butterfly die to the Hybrid Embossing Folder before adding the piece of Basic Black card stock on top. I then ran this through the Cut & Emboss machine. This cut out the large butterfly in the middle.
I then sponged Whisper White ink over the embossing using a sponge dauber and stuck it to the card front.
How to make the Colourful Butterfly for my simple Embossed Greeting Card
Next I stamped the large butterfly image onto a piece of Basic White card stock using Black Memento ink. Then using Melon Mambo, Bubble Bath and Berry Burst Blends I drew lines across the butterfly to make a graduated pattern. I then die cut out the butterfly out. Finally I bent the butterfly wings upwards to make the butterfly look like it was flying before sticking the body onto the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
I then decided to add some Brushed Brass Butterflies to the card front.
I do hope you have enjoyed seeing how I made my simple embossed greeting card. If you want to see how I actually made it and another two simple greeting cards then here is the link to my YouTube Channel.
