Wow this month our theme is to make a scrapbook layout using a card for inspiration. I decided to use a card that I designed using a card sketch last month.

As you will all know Stampin’ Up! produces some amazing Designer Series Papers and most of the time we use a small amount and keep it forever. This month I decided that I would focus on using a sheet of Designer Series Paper for my scrapbook layout.

I chose to use one of the sheets from the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Papers for my background. I just love these colours and of course there is a sheet of flowers that you can either die cut out or fussy cut out.

How I made my Scrapbook Layout using a card for inspiration

First I chose my background sheet and cut a large circle out of it. I will use the circle for another project. Next I die cut out the flower and leaves and arranged them on to the edge of the circle. First I started out with three flowers and leaves but my photo was slightly smaller than the circle so I had to add some more flowers and leaves to hid the edge of the photograph. I then stuck the flowers into the layout. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to raise up parts of the flowers.

To finish off my scrapbook layout I die cut a tag using the Tailor Made Tags and a piece of Fresh Freesia Open Weave ribbon to do some journaling on.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my scrapbook layout using a card for inspiration. I just love how vibrant this designer series paper is and how good it looks as a scrapbook layout.
