Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop.
The theme this month is:
The them has been chosen by the Creative Design Team Members
When I saw that the theme was Scrapbooking Your Way I decided to design my Scrapbook Layout to show off the OnLive swap that I did for recent Stampin’ Up! OnStage Live event in Vienna. I was lucky to be able to attend this event and to get the chance to meet up with fellow demonstrators from around the world. I met up with people I had only seen on a computer screen due to not being able to meet up face to face because of Covid. For these events we are able to design a card, 3D project, little gift and swap them with fellow demonstrators.
How I made my OnStage Live swap
For my swap I stamped the Bouquet of Flowers image onto a piece of Basic White card stock. Next I coloured in the image using watercolour pencils and a blender pen. The colours I used were Granny Apple Green and Garden Green for the leaves. Real Red, Pumpkin Pie and Gorgeous Grape for the flowers. I finished off colouring in the banner ends using Basic Gray. Next I cut a Smoky Slate mat layer before I added these layers to a Basic White Thick card stock card base. I then stamped the image in the right hand corner of the envelope using Basic Gray ink.
How I made my Scrapbook Layout using my OnStage Live Swap
I started with a piece of 12×12 Basic White card stock. Next I stamped the Bouquet of Flowers image onto the bottom right hand corner using Basic Gray ink. I then stamped the same image onto a piece of Basic White card stock.
Next I cut 3 mat layers using Smoky Slate card stock and added the stamped layer to one of the Smoky Slate mat layers and put to one side. I then trimmed my ‘card recipe’ so that it would fit onto one of the Smoky Slate mat layers.
Next I cut a Basic White mat layer to fit the remaining Smoky Slate mat layer. I decided that I would use the Alphabest stamp set to stamp the words OnStage Live and Swap. As I wanted to add some colour as a background to the words. I used two of the background images from the Ocean Front stamp set and Gorgeous Grape ink which I stamped off first onto a piece of scrap paper before stamping over the words.
How I finished my OnStage Swap Scrapbook Layout
I then added some journaling before sticking the Basic White layer onto the remaining Smoky Slate mat layer. Next I laid the mat layers onto the layout and stuck them in place.
As I attended OnStage Live I was able to receive the new mini catalogue and Sale-a-bration leaflet. I was also able to order some of the new products from the next mini catalogue. Also I was able to place an order for some of the new products so I decided to order the Alphabet A La Mode Dies so that I can use them to make a Title for my scrapbook layout.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing my OnStage Swap and how I have turned it into a Scrapbook Layout so that I now have a lasting memory. Why not have a go at designing a scrapbook layout for one of your card designs and share it on my Facebook page.
