Welcome to this month’s blog hop.
The theme for this month is Black and White photos
I love looking at old black and white photographs especially the ones that show what the fashions were at the time photo was taken.
Whilst I was looking through my family photos I found two from when my parents were engaged and they went on holiday with my dad’s parents to Great Yarmouth in June 1964. They married in September 1964.
As they photos were taken at the sea side I decided to use the Come Sail Away Suite and stamps from the High Tide stamp set.
I started by choosing a piece of Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper to go along the middle of the page.
Next I cut a piece of Night of Navy card stock and embossed it using the High Seas 3D embossing folder. To make the sea spray I used a sponge dauber and Craft White ink.
I then mounted the photos onto Basic Black card stock before sticking them onto the layout.
Then I stamped the birds and the grass from the High Tide stamp set onto the layout.
I used embellishments from the Come Sail Away Memories and More stickers and then stamped a light house from the Sail Away stamp set before die cutting it out.
I made the seaweed using the Smooth Sailing dies and stamped the sentiment from the High Tide stamp set.
