Welcome to this month’s Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop.
The theme this month is to design a scrapbook layout with a hidden message.
I love designing scrapbook layouts but sometimes we do not want to always see what we have journaled so an way to do this is to design a scrapbook layout using a hidden message. This can be done by using tabs to pull out the hidden journaling but this time I decided to use flaps that you lift up to see the journaling.
How I made my scrapbook layout with a hidden message.
First I took a 12×12 piece of Basic White card stock and using the Decorative Borders stamp set I stamped the corner image in each corner of the layout using Memento ink. I was so excited to receive this stamp set at On Stage in Vienna last month as I knew I would use it on layouts.
Next I coloured in the leaves using the Parakeet Party Stampin’ marker. Once I had done this I used the Sweet Sorbet Stampin’ marker to colour in the flowers. I did leave some gapes in the colouring as I thought it looked better than just colouring in the flowers without any gaps.
How I made my lift up flaps for my scrapbook layout with a hidden message
First I started by choosing my photographs and once chosen I measured them so I could make the flaps. I then cut some Basic Black card stock so that I had a card base with a small border around each photo. It is easier to think of it as making a card. Once I was happy with my ‘Photo cards’ I stuck them onto my scrapbook layer.
How I made the title for my scrapbook layout with a hidden message
I decided to use Parakeet Party and Sweet Sorbet card stock for my title. I started by sticking small pieces of adhesive sheet onto the back of each piece of card stock. Then using the lovely A La Mode dies I die cut out my title. I used a ruler to try to make my heading straight.
Finally I used the note images from the Hostess stamp set Caroling Mice and Black Memento ink to stamp black notes as a background.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing how I made my scrapbook layout with a hidden message. Why not have a go and please do share on my Facebook page.
Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,

Love how the journaling will be hidden behind the photos.
What a cute layout and I love your hidden messages, thank you so much for hopping with us x
I love how you hid the message under the photos – thanks for sharing 🙂
A great layout. I really like the letters too and am looking forward to using them.
