Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog logo

Welcome to this month’s Ink, Stamp, Share Monthly Blog Hop.

The theme this month is anything from the January- April mini catalogue or Sale-a-bration.

For my scrapbook layout I decided to use the Adorable Owls stamp set which you can get FREE with a £45 product order as part of the Sale-a-bration offer in January and February 2023. I knew I had a few photographs of my children with owls but could I find them? I could only find this one where they attended the Young Ornithologists Club which is for the younger members of the RSPB Roadshow that came to Newmarket.

How I made my Scrapbook Layout using the Adorable Owls stamp set.

Photograph of my Scrapbook Layout using the Adorable Owls stamp set.

First I picked a Basic White 12×12 card stock for my background. Then I cut up the Hoot Hoot You’re so cute stamp in half so I only had the words Hoot Hoot/ Using Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody and Pacific Point ink I stamped Hoot Hoot al over the scrapbook layout background.

I then cut two mat layers for the photograph using Mango Melody and Bermuda Bay card stock and stuck them plus the photograph onto the stamped back ground. I often put my mat layers and photographs at an angle just to make it different.

Next I stamped the owls using Black Memento ink and to keep it simple I coloured them in using the Soft Suede light an dark blends and the Ivory blend. I love how I can get different shades by adding more layers of the same colour. I then fussy cut them out and added to the layout using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Finally I cut a strip of Bermuda Bay and Mango Melody card stock to make may layers for my journaling. I then cut two strips of Basic White card stock and added my journaling before stocking down on to the mat layers.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing how I made a scrapbook layout using the Adorable Owls stamp set. Why not have a go yourself and share what you make onto my Facebook page.

Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
