Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog logo

Welcome to this Month’s Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop.

The theme this month is Autumn Colours.

When I saw that the theme for this month was to design a scrapbook layout using autumn colours I knew I wanted to use the Ringed With Nature Bundle. When I am driving anywhere out of my village the roads are lines with various trees and bushes so I love seeing them change as the seasons come and go. I think my favourite season is Autumn as there is such a variety of colours as the leaves change and then drop. Each year I say I will take a photograph of them but have never got around to doing this. By designing this scrapbook layout using autumn colours means that I have no excuse not to take that photograph.

How I made my Scrapbook Layout using Autumn Colours.

First I started with a 12×12 sheet of Sahara Sand card stock from the Neutrals Colours. Next I die cut the tree logs using the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder. I always think I am going to put the dies in wrong and ruin the embossing folder but I did not and I managed to die cut and emboss the logs at the same time with no problems.

I laid them onto the 12×12 card stock making a pile in each bottom corner. Then I stuck them down using multi purpose glue, Where the logs overlapped the edges I cut flush with the edge and then stuck it in the gaps along the edges.

Next I stamped the mushrooms. I used Crumb Cake ink for the stalks and Real Red ink for the tops.

I then cut two Soft Suede mat layers for the photos.

Finally I sponged some Whisper White ink onto the edges of the logs using a Sponge Dauber. I love how by doing this it adds a bit of dimension to the logs.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing how quick and easy it is to make a scrapbook layout using autumn colours. Why not have a go yourself and share on my Facebook page.

Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
