Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop
The theme this month is:
The theme for this month’s scrapbook layout has been decided by Sharon Dalton. I thought very hard about what I could design as a scrapbook layout based on Naughty & Nice. Then I came across some photos of my granddaughter decorating fairy cakes for her 2nd Birthday party. She was supposed to be covering the iced cakes in sprinkles whilst I piped icing onto the cakes. I looked up and she was testing the sprinkles to see if they were OK.
How I made my Naughty & Nice Scrapbook Layout
First I chose a 12 x 12 piece of designer series paper and chose one from Sweet Stocking pack with stars as sprinkles. I then chose to use Bumblebee card stock and Evening Evergreen card stock to match the DSP.
Next I cut the Bumblebee card stock to make mat layers for the photographs. I then cut two strips of Bumblebee card stock. One for the title for the left hand edge and one as decoration along the right hand edge.
Next I die cut our the words Naughty & Nice using the Playful Alphabet dies using Evening Evergreen card stock and stuck along the Bumblebee strip.
I then cut two Evening Evergreen two mat layers and two Basic White pieces of card stock for my journaling. Next I used the sprinkle image from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set and Rich Razzleberry ink to add sprinkles around the journaling. I chose Rich Razzleberry as it match the bowl the sprinkles were in.
Finally I laid everything out onto the Designer Series Paper and stuck it all down.
I am really please with how this scrapbook layout turned out and how well the photographs fitted the Naughty & Nice theme.
Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
