Welcome to this month’s Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop
The theme is month is:
This month Scrapbook Layout theme has been has been decided by Courtenay Houston. I love the idea of Grab 5 things to go on a scrapbook layout,
If like me you have been given some old family photographs but still have to add them to a scrapbook layout this is a great theme to use either on one page or a whole album. I had a photo of my mum and her twin brother from when they were small. I decided to use some of the Neutral Family colours for my layout so they would match the photograph.
How I made my Grab 5 Scrapbook Layout
I chose to use a piece of 12×12 Soft Suede card stock for my main background. Next I laid the photo where I roughly wanted it to go.
I then chose a piece of Whisper White Crinkle Seam Binding ribbon that I had coloured using the Highland Heather Blends. I added it to the top of the photo to look like the photo was hanging up.
Next I needed to choose what die cuts I was going to use and decided on the row of small flowers from the Hydrangea Dies. I then die cut the flowers out using Crumb Cake card stick. Next I stuck them randomly between the top of the photo and the top of the page.
I then needed to chose an embossing folder to use and decided to use the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder to emboss a square piece of Very Vanilla card stock. Then I stuck this piece of card stock underneath the photo so it popped out between the bottom of the phot and the bottom edge of the page.
How I made the title
For the title I stamped the word TWINS using Early Espresso ink and the Sophisticated Serif stamp set onto a scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock. (Unfortunately Stampin’ Up! do not have a current alphabet stamp set so we have been allowed to use a retired set). I then die cut some more flowers using the Hydrangea Die. Next I fixed the title strip onto the page using double Stampin’ Dimensionals in the middle and single ones at each end. To finish off the title I stuck 5 Rhinestone gems to the middle of the flowers.

A lovely page and I like how you let the photo be the star of the layout, by using neutrals a precious photo too. A great idea to use the Soft Suede as your base. Really effective.
Soo Beautiful <3 I love the simplicity of the layout which really makes you focus on the photograph… Thanks for joining the Hop Cheryl, looking forward to seeing you next month.
Cheers Shaz
