Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop

Welcome to this month’s Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop

The theme this month is Table Favour/Gift Packaging

For the blog hop today I thought I would make a glass jar Christmas Poinsettia Table Decoration I did similar table decorations for my wedding in 2015 and suddenly thought why not turn that idea into a Christmas Poinsettia Table Decoration.

How to make the Christmas Poinsettia Table Decoration.

I started by choosing my glass jar and if like me you may well have a few to choose from. Next I cut a strip of Evening Evergreen card stock to fit around the middle of the jar. I then used a favourite technique of mine for when I do not have matching ribbon. I cut a piece of Whisper White Crinkle Seam Binding ribbon and coloured it using the Cherry Cobbler blends until I was happy with the colour.

Next I die cut a poinsettia using the poinsettia dies and Cherry Cobbler card stock. I then cut out the holly leaves using the leaf dies and Evening Evergreen card stock. I then sponged Whisper White craft ink along the edges of both the poinsettia and leaves using a sponge dauber.

Next I started to build the poinsettia layers ensuring that the three layers overlapped and did not leave a space between each piece. Once I have puIt the poinsettia together I stuck it onto the glass jar so the ends of the band were covered. I then added the holly leaved behind.

Now to decide what I am going to put into the glass jar. I could use if to hold tea spoons for the condiments on the Christmas table. Add some Christmas pot pouri, sweets or even a candle.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my very quick and effective Christmas poinsettia table decoration. I think I will have a go using Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and silver as my colour scheme so it matches in with my dinner service.

Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
