Welcome to this month’s Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop
The theme this month is Sale-a-Bration
I decided to make a sampler to showcase the lovely Penguin Place Bundle and matching Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper (DSP). The Penguin Place Bundle will be available in the August to December 2021 mini catalogue.
The Penguin Place DSP is available as a FREE product during the Sale-a-bration period for every £45 spend in one order during August and September 2021.
How to make the Penguin Place Sale-a-Bration Sampler
I started by cutting one sheet of 12×12 Basic White card stock into a 9″ square. This is the base layer for the sampler.
Next I used the snow flake image and Balmy Blue ink to stamp snowflakes all over the Basic White card stock.
I then cut Misty Moonlight card stock into five 2.5″ squares and two strips 2.5″ by 5.5”
Next I cut the DSP into 2.25″ squares to make a mat layer for the 5 squares..
For the two longer strips I cut Basic White card stock into a 2.25″ x 5.25″ strip.
I then stuck the DSP mat layers to the square card stock to make mat layers for the sampler.
How to make up each penguin for the Penguin Place Sale-a-Bration Sampler
Next I stamped the penguin images onto Basic White card stock and Black Tuxedo Memento ink. I punched the standing one out using the Penguin Builder punch. For the one sliding on its side I fussy cut it out. If you do not like fussy cutting you can use another punched penguin instead.
I then stamped and fussy cut the other elements in the stamp set and stuck them to the penguins before adding them to the cut squares using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The feet I stamped and punched out using the Penguin Builder punch. I used Balmy Blue ink for the woolly hat and scarf. Fresh Freesia ink for the bow and presents. I used Pumpkin Pie ink for the penguin beaks and feet. Early Espresso ink for the reindeer antlers. I used Just Jade ink for the trees and stamped direct from the ink pad. For the lighter trees I stamped the image onto a piece of paper and then onto the card stock. I used Real Red for the reindeer nose and Just Jade, Fresh Freesia and Balmy Blue ink for the presents.
For the longer strips I CASEd the penguin balloon card and the penguin sliding down a slope card from the mini catalogue.
Finishing off the Penguin Place Sale-a-Bration Sampler
To finish off the sampler I stamped the Seasons Greeting sentiment onto the remaining Basic White square using Balmy Blue. Next I stamped the snowflake image around the sentiment again using Balmy Blue ink. Then I mounted the various squares and strips onto the 9″x9″ stamped base before putting into a box frame.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing the Penguin Place sampler using the matching Sale-a-bration DSP I have made. Why not have a go yourself and please do share with me what you have come up.
Remember you will be able to get this Sale-a-Bration DSP FREE when you place a minimum order of £45 in August and September.
