Welcome to this month’s Ink, Stamp, Share Monthly Blog Hop
The theme this month is a Tic Tac Toe Challenge
If like me you sometimes struggle with what to use when making a card or stumped for ideas then a Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge is ideal, I decided to use Blue, Circles and Jewels as my first Grandson has just been born and what better way to celebrate than to give a New Baby handmade card.
How to make the New Baby Tic-Tac-Toe Card
I started by cutting a piece of A4 a Basic White Thick card in half along the short edge and scored at 14.85cm to make the card base. Next I cut a 10cm x 14.3cm piece of Balmy Blue card stock for the mat layer. I then cut a 9.5cm x 13.8cm piece of Basic White card stock for my top layer. Next I embossed it using the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.
I used Balmy Blue and Misty Moonlight ink to stamp both romper suits from the All for Baby stamp set and die cut them out using the Baby Clothes Dies. Next I stamped the washing line across the top left hand corner using Night of Navy ink and then stamped two sets of pegs. I then added the romper suits using Stampin’ Dimensionals to raise them up.
How to stamp the sentiment and finish off the New Baby Tic-Tac-Toe Card
Next I stamped the sentiment using Misty Moonlight ink. I chose this sentiment as my Granddaughter now has a baby brother so her family has grown. My first idea was to have the sentiment on a die cut circle but it would have been too much on this card so I decided on just having a Basic White strip of card stock. I felt I needed something extra along the bottom of the card so I coloured in a length of Whisper White Seam Binding ribbon using the Light Misty Moonlight blend. I placed a Misty Moonlight circle behind a Balmy Blue card stock and stuck them onto the card. Next I stuck the sentiment on top of the circles and added three Rhinestone Jewels to finish off the card.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing my New Baby Tic-Tac-Toe card. I am now off to make a baby girl version using Pink, Ribbon and Circles from the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge.
Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
