Ink, Stamp, Share Monthly Blog Hop Image

Welcome to this month’s Ink, Stamp, Share Monthly Blog Hop.

The theme this month is Pre Order.

Being a demonstrator means that I get the privilege to order certain products from new catalogues before customers so I am showing you how I used the new 2023-2025 InColors to make some male or female birthday cards. Each year Stampin’ Up! introduce five new colours that will be available for the next two years and replace the InColors that were introduced two years earlier. This years new InColors are: Copper Clay, Wild Wheat, Pebbled Path, Boho Blue and Moody Mauve.

How I made my Male or Female Birthday Cards

Photo of finished set of Male or Female Birthday Cards

First I cut 5 portrait A6 card bases using Basic White card stock. Then using a piece of each of the 2023-2025 InColor A4 card stock I cut each piece into 4 to make 4 mat layers. One I will use on my cards and the other three I can use later on another project. I then stuck one of each colour mat layer onto the card base and put to one side.

Next I cut two pieces of Basic White card stock into 4 so that I could stamp my images onto them. I only needed five of these mat layers so I now have three mat layers spare which I can use for a future project.

How I stamped the ocean picture for my Male or Female Birthday Cards

Next using the new InColor ink pads and the Oceanfront stamp set to stamp the images onto the Basic White mat layer. I used the Moody Mauve for the sky, Boho Blue for the sea, Wild Wheat for the sand and Pebbled Path for the rocks. I love how by using just one stamp set I can make a lovely picture suitable for male and females. Next I stuck the stamped mat layers onto each card base.

How I finished off my Male or Female Birthday Cards

Photo of Happy Birthday sentiment for my Male or Female Birthday Cards

For the sentiment I chose the ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment from the Very Best Occasion stamp set and using Copper Clay ink. I then stamped it onto a strip of Basic White card stock five times. Next I punched each one out using the smaller oval of the Double Oval punch. Then using Copper Clay card stock I punched out the scalloped oval using the Double Oval punch. I then stuck the stamped Basic White oval on top of the Coper Clay oval. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals I added the sentiment to each card and finished off the card by adding two Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the sentiment.

I love how I was able to use the 2023-2025 InColors to make a lovely ocean picture and you can see how the colours compliment each other. Now the 2023-2024 Annual Catalogue is now available to you why not have a go at making a similar project using these lovely colours.

Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
