Stamp 'n Hop Blog Hop - March 2023 image

Welcome to this month’s Stamp & Hop Blog Hop.

The theme this month is Males.

When I saw this month’s theme was males I already had an idea in mind to make some Male Adventure Birthday cards. As it is my brother-in-law’s birthday this month and he enjoys going out on his bicycle. So I wanted to make a card using the Greatest Journey bundle and designer series papers.

How I made my Male Adventure Birthday cards.

Photo of finished Male Adventure Birthday Cards - Cycling

First I cut my card bases using Basic White Thick card stock in half to make 2 portrait card bases. Next I took a sheet of the XXX designer series paper and cut it into 6 pieces to make mat layers. As I had some Basic Black card stock squares left over from a previous project I was able to die cut them in half using the line die. I stuck these to the DSP mat layer trimming the side as needed.

Next I die cut out the cyclist using Basic Black card stock. On one I trimmed the helmet and left the other one. These I stuck onto the card front ensuring that the wheels touched the Basic Black layer.

I then decided to stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Timeless Greetings kit using Black Memento ink. On the first card I stamped it straight onto the DSP layer. On the other I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap of the DSP and then mat layered it onto Basic Black card stock.

Now I had 4 more DSP mat layers to play with so again I die cut the foreground. Next I then die cut out the Hiker and Runner images using Basic Black card stock. I decided to stick a tiny piece of the orange DSP to the back of the lantern to light it up. Then i stuck them onto the DSP mat layers before adding the sentiments as before.

I hope that you have enjoyed seeing how I made my Male Adventure Birthday cards and that they have given you an idea to have a go yourself. I love using our designer series papers on cards as a background layer. Please do share your cards onto my Facebook page.

Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
