Image for Stamp & Hop February 2022 Blog Hop

Welcome to this month’s Stamp & Hop Blog Hop

The theme this month is Favourite Bundle

When I saw the theme for this month my first thought was to use the Hello Ladybug Bundle as my favourite bundle and make a couple of Ladybird Thank You Cards.

For each Ladybird Thank You Card I cut a piece of A4 Basic White Thick card stock in half along the short edge and scored at 14.85cm to make two card bases. I then cut two 10cm x 14.3cm pieces of Old Olive card stock for the mat layer. Next I cut two 9.5cm x 13.8cm pieces of Basic White card stock for the card front.

How to make the first Ladybird Thank You Card

I started by stamping the large leaf image around the edge of the card using Granny Apple Green and Old Olive ink.

Next I stamped the triple flower image using Daffodil Delight ink.

Next I used the Stamparatus to stamp the ladybird body using Black Memento ink. By using the Stamparatus I was able to reink the stamp until I got a solid black image. I then stamped the wings using Real Red ink and the black dots using Black Memento ink. Next I punched out both images using the Ladybug Builder punch. I then stuck the wings onto the body using multipurpose glue and stuck the whole ladybird onto the card using Stampin Dimensionals.

Again I used the large leaf image to stamp a border around the card front. Next I stamped the flowers using Daffodil Delight ink. This time I decided to stamp the smaller ladybird straight onto the card front. I used Black Memento ink for the ladybird outline and Real Red for the body. Next I masked off the leaves so I could stamp the ladybird image to look like there was a ladybird peeking out from behind the leaf.

Finishing off the Ladybird Thank You Cards

I then stuck each card front onto a mat layer before sticking to one of the card bases. Next I used the Thank You image from the Sweet Strawberry stamp set to stamp a sentiment onto Basic White card stock using Black Memento ink. I added the sentiment to each card front using Stampin Dimensionals.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my Ladybird Thank You Cards. They were quite easy to make and I cannot wait to have a go at making the ones in the catalogue next.

Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
