Welcome to this month’s Blog Hop
The Theme for this month’s blog is a Colour Challenge based on the colour GREEN.
When I saw this month’s theme I immediately thought of leaves and jungle. So the first stamp sets I went for were Tropical Chic and Animal Outing.
I started with a Mint Macaron mat layer and die cut a rectangle out to make a frame. Then I stamped the image of the Rhino onto Whisper White card stock using Memento Ink Pad.
I used the Shaded Spruce, Old Olive and Granny Apple Green Light blends to colour in the bird.
Next I used the Tropical Chic stamps to stamp leaves around the Rhino using Soft Sea Foam, Mint Macaron, Shaded Spruce and Old Olive ink pads.
This layer I stuck behind the frame using Stampin’ Dimensionals,
Then I die cut some leaves using Old Olive card stock and the Animal Friends dies. These I stuck to the top of the frame so you were looking through leaves into the background.
Finally I stamped the sentiment in Memento ink pad and then the finished layer was then stuck onto a Whisper White card base.
I hope that my card has given you an idea of what you can do and how you can make cards using shades of one colour.
Please remember to leave comments as you hop along.
