The theme this month is Spring.
As I have recently been making a few cards using flowers I decided to go for an old favourite of mine and use the Fable Friends stamp set.
I find that I tend to always use the rabbit stamp from this set so this was the ideal chance to use the other stamp sets in the set.
I started by cutting three 10 x 10 cm card bases out of Night of Navy and mat layers out of Crumb Cake and Whisper White.
Next I stamped the images using memento ink and water coloured them in using the water colour pencils and a blender pen.
I then smudged some Balmy Blue ink along the bottom of the card to look like puddles and water before stamping on the grass.
Then I stamped the rain drops in Balmy Blue before mounting the image onto the mat layer and then the card base.
For the last card I again water coloured the image and added a grey shadow under the image.
I also stamped the umbrella handle before mounting the image onto the mat layer and card base.
To finish off the cards I punched the umbrellas out of Whisper White card stock and stamped ‘Hello Spring’ on to them before using a sponge brayer to put Lovely Lipstick ink over them.
These I then fixed to the cards using the Stampin’ Dimensionals.
