Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop.
The theme this month is: Portraying Pets
The theme for this month has been decided by the talented Charlotte Harding.
This month I am going to show you how to make your own background paper. As some of you know I have two rescue cats from Cairo. One of them Flora just loves to be with me all of the time so I decided to use some of her photos for my layout. I did not have any suitable designer series paper so I decided to make my own background for my scrapbook layout.
How to make your own background.
First I started with a piece of 12×12 Basic White card stock. Then using the cat from the Fluffiest Friends stamp set I stamped the image over the 12×12 Basic White card stock using Black Memento ink. Next I stamped the Hello sentiment from the Love This Moment stamp set again using Black memento ink as Flora meows Hello every time she sees me.
Next I laid out my three photos of Flora and decided where I could do some journaling. I used the line stamp from Love This Moment and Black Memento ink for my journaling and wrote using the Parakeet Party Write Marker.
I then decided to stamp the small heart again from the Love This Moment stamp set using Parakeet Party ink but as the hearts did not show up very well I decided to colour them in using the Parakeet Party Write Marker.
Finally I stuck my three photos onto my scrapbook layout.
U hope you have enjoyed seeing how I made my own background for my scrapbook layout. Why not have a go and please share them on to my Facebook page.
Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,

I want a kitty!
I love your stamped background – rather purr-fect for the subject.
This layout is so so cute. The stamp set lends itself so well to the pet theme. I love the journal entry on the stamp too. Your cat is beautiful.
OMG!!! How clever are you, creating your own background to use for your cat photos.
I LOVE what you did on this page. Thanks Cheryl for hopping with us again this month.
Cheers Shaz
Well, this page is so much fun!!! That background treatment is just fantastic – I did chuckle!! Love the colours too. Julia
