Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop

Welcome to this month’s Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop.

This Month’s Theme is: New or Retiring Favourites.

This is an exciting time of the year for me as it means I get to showcase some of the new products that I used to make a simple thank you card using some of the new ephemera packs. In March I was able to attend the Stampin’ Up! OnStage event in Rotterdam, The Netherlands and during one lunch time each table was given a pack of the Calming Creek cards and envelopes, the Fully Flowering Ephemera pack and the Labels & Layers Ephemera pack. Also on the table was the new Simply Said stamp set which goes really well with these packs. These packs work really well for a quick and easy option whether you are new to card making or not.

Here is the simple Thank You card I made using elements from these packs.

Photograph of finished Simple Thank You Card,

First of all I had to chose one of the 5 card bases and matching envelopes from the Calming Creek cards and envelopes pack. Next I had to choose what elements I was going to use for the card front. Did you know that there are 8 sheets of pre-cut images and sentiments in the Ephemera packs? This means that there are loads of different options to choose from and this probably took me more time to choose what elements to use than to actually make the card.

I decided to use mainly flower elements and leaves. These were easy to use as all I had to do was to stick them onto the card front using multipurpose glue. Next I stamped the Thank You sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set onto one of the labels from the Labels & Layers Ephemera Pack using Black Memento ink. I then chose my main flower element which was a black and white flower outline. I decided to colour this image in at home using Stampin’ Blends.

How I finished off my simple Thank You card.

Photograph of coloured in flower image on front of my simple Thank You card,

Once I was home I coloured the leaves in using Granny Apple Green Blends and then coloured in the flower using Daffodil Delight. I then added the flower image to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Next I added the stamped sentiment by gluing one end onto the flower image and using a Stampin’ Dimensional on the other end.

I love how these packs mean that you can make quick, easy simple thank you cards as you have so much choice of what to use and do not need a lot of space or other equipment. Why not have a go at using these packs once the catalogue goes live on 1st of May. I am sure you will love these as much as I do. I would love to see your simple thank you cards so please do share them with me either on my Facebook page or by email.

Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
