The theme this month is: Celebrate.

This month I have chosen to use minimal products to make a simple celebration card. I have chosen to use the sentiment ‘You’re Simply Marvelous’ as we all know someone who goes above and beyond.

How to make my simple celebration card.

First I cut an A5 landscape card base using Basic White Thick card stock. Next I cut a mat layer using Pecan Pie card stock and a slightly smaller one using paper from the Earthen Elegance designer series paper. I stuck both of these onto the card front.

Next I cut a 5.5cm x 7.5cm mat layer using Pecan Pie card stock and a 5cm x 7cm piece using Basic White card stock. Using the Planted Paradise stamp set I stamped a plant pot using Pecan Pie ink (having stamped off onto a scrap piece of paper to get a lighter shade). Next I stamped the plant using Old Olive ink. I then stuck the stamped layer onto the smaller Pecan Pie mat layer.

I cut a piece of Old Olive card stock to make the banner across the middle. After that I stamped the sentiment from Perennial Postage stamp set on it using Old Olive ink and stuck it onto the card front.

I then stuck the stamped flower and pot onto the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally I added a few of the Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems to the card front.
