Stampin’ Up! has some wonderful card kits so what better than to make a scrapbook layout using a kit contents. As I used one of the stamps from the You Are My Anchor card kit for last month’s Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop I chose the Sentimental Rose card kit for this month’s Blog Hop.

How I made my scrapbook layout using a Kit Contents.

I started with a 12″ x 12″ piece of Basic White card stock. Next I chose a photograph of my parent’s in laws who are celebrating their 60th Wedding Anniversary this year as this will go in their scrapbook album. I cut two Daffodil Delight card stock mat layers and then another two Balmy Blue card stock mat layers. These were the colours of the flowers in my mother in law’s bridal bouquet. I then cut a Basic White card stock mat layer for my journaling.

Before I wrote my journaling I stamped some leaves using the leaf image from the Sentimental Rose Card Kit using Garden Green ink. Next I stamped the ‘Congratulations’ sentiment along the top and bottom of the mat layer again using Garden Green ink before writing some journaling.

How I made the flowers and decorated my Scrapbook Layout using a kit contents.

First I stamped the rose image from the Sentimental Rose Card Kit 6 times onto an A4 piece of Basic White card stock using Balmy Blue ink and Daffodil Delight ink. I then cut out each image and arranged them in opposite corners.

Next I drew a pencil mark around each edge of the flower cluster and I removed the flowers so that I could stamp the leaf image using Garden Green ink just under where the flowers would be.

Once I had stamped the leaves I stuck the flowers onto the layout using multipurpose glue for two of them and then Stampin’ Dimensionals on the third one to raise it up.

Next I stamped the sentiment ‘Congratulations’ using Garden Green ink along the top and bottom of the layout. I then stuck the photo and mat layer towards the top of the scrapbook layout and the journaling towards the bottom of the scrapbook layout.

I am really pleased with how my scrapbook layout using a kit contents turned out and it makes a wonderful layout to use again in my parents in law’s wedding anniversary album.

Why not have a go at making a scrapbook layout using one of our wonderful kit contents and of course please do share them with me either by email or on my Facebook page.

Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
