Tech 4 Stampers Academy Blog Hop Title

Welcome to this month’s Tech 4 Stampers Academy Blog Hop.

The theme this month is Red and Green.

I love making Red and Green Christmas cards as Stampin’ Up! has some wonderful red and green combinations:

  • or how about Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party

Today I am going to use Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green to make my very quick Christmas cards.

Red and Green Christmas Card 1 – Garden Green card base

I started of by making a A6 landscape card base using Garden Green card stock. Next I cut a piece of the red and green striped designer series paper from the A Walk in the Forest pack and stuck it onto the card base. I then die cut a diamond shape using the Nested Essentials dies and Cherry Cobbler card stock. Next I stamped the Merry Christmas from the Rooted in Nature stamp set onto Basic White card stock using Garden Green ink. I then die cut it out using another diamond shape from the Nested Essential dies before sticking it on top of the Cherry Cobbler one.

Next I stamped the poinsettia from the Roots in Nature stamp set using Cherry Cobbler onto Basic White card stock and fussy cut it out. I then stamped a set of leaves twice onto Basic White card stock using Garden Green ink and again I fussy cut them out. I then stuck the poinsettia onto the card using a Stampin’ Dimensional and then stuck the leaves underneath the poinsettia.

Finally I added some Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front.

I then made another card but this time I changed the colours around.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing how I made my Red and Green Christmas cards. Which red and green combination do you think would look great to use? Why not have a go yourself and share your makes on my Facebook page.

Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
