Welcome to this month’s Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop.
This Month’s Theme is a Card Sketch.
This month I have chosen to make a pretty card using a card sketch. We are using one of the card sketches from page 22 in the 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue.
How I made my pretty card using a card sketch.
First I cut a portrait card base using Basic White Thick card stock. Next I cut a mat layer using Basic Gray card stock. This mat layer I embossed using the dots embossing folder from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders. Next I cut a piece of designer series paper from the Perennial Lavender 12×12 papers and stuck it onto the Basic Gray mat layer before sticking the mat layer onto the card base.
I then die cut two circles using the Spotlight in Nature Dies and Basic White card stock. To find out where I wanted to stamp the butterflies from the Sketched Butterflies stamp set I laid one on top of the other and stamped the three small butterflies on the underneath one. Next I stamped the single butterfly onto the other circle nearer the bottom so that I could add my sentiment layers across the middles.
How to make the sentiment layers for my pretty card using a card sketch.
First I cut a strip of Basic White card stock and stamped the sentiment ‘You Brighten Up So Many Of My Days’ on it using Basic Gray ink. I then cut a mat layer using a piece of Basic Gray card stock. Now to add the circles and sentiment to the card front. I started by laying the circles where I wanted them and glued the underneath one to the card front before adding the second one using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then added the sentiment layer to the card front making sure it was across the middle of the circles. As I did not want the sentiment layer to stick out too far I only used Stampin’ Dimensionals on the left hand side and glued the right hand side onto the circle. If you wanted you could add two Stampin’ Dimensionals to the left hand side and one to the right hand side.
How I finished off my pretty card using a card sketch.
To finish off my card I added three small and three large purple gens from the Purple Fine Shimmer Dots.
