Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop.
The theme this month is: Men in Your Life.
The theme for this month has been decided by the talented Tina Parson.
When I saw this month’s theme I knew I had just the right photographs to make a masculine scrapbook layout. My Grandson Lenny is certainly a man’s boy and loves to spend his time with us following his Grandad Stevie around. Whilst I was spending time with my Granddaughter I looked up and saw what these two were doing. Lenny obviously wanted his afternoon nap but I did not expect to find my hubby also asleep. They were so fast asleep that they did not hear me take the photographs or Sofia, my granddaughter and I laughing.
How I made my Masculine Scrapbook Layout.
Each month I design a scrapbook layout which I use to make a scrapbook layout but I also make 2 cards using that layout. I thought that this month’s scrapbook layout would work well with my photographs.
First I started with a 12×12 piece of Earthen Elegance designer series paper. As my photographs were portrait and the ones on my layout sketch were landscape I used two. I cut some of the other designer series paper in the Earthen Elegance pack into 2 1/2″ squares which I stuck onto my layout. Next I stuck down the photographs onto of the squares. I then used the Very Vanilla bakers twine from the Bakers twine essentials pack sticking them to the back of the layout using glue dots.
How I made the title and journaling layers.
Next I used a scrap piece of the designer series paper for both my sentiment mat layer and my title and stuck them onto the scrapbook layout. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals for the title to raise it up slightly. Next I die cut some letters out of Misty Moonlight card stock and the Mini Alphabet Dies which I stuck onto the title mat layer. Finally I completed my journaling using a Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Write Marker.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing my masculine scrapbook layout using one of my scrapbook layout sketches. Why not have a go and share what you make on to my Facebook page.
Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
