Ink, Stamp, Share Monthly Blog Hop Image

Welcome to this month’s Ink, Stamp, Share Monthly Blog Hop.

The theme this month is Christmas.

My project this month is a Christmas card using three colours that you would not associate with Christmas. It is also using the colours that were last month’s Ink Stamp Share Monthly Hop that I had to unfortunately miss.

How I made my Christmas Card using three colours.

Photograph of finished Christmas Card using three colours.

I started off with a Basic White landscape card base. Next I cut a Gray Granite mat layer and embossed it using the criss cross folder from the Basic 3D Embossing Folders set before sticking onto the card base. I then cut a Lost Lagoon and Moody Mauve mat layer slightly smaller than I would usually do so that I had a larger Gray Granite border. Next I cut a Basic White mat layer and put it to one side. I will use this for stamping my image.

How I stamped and coloured in the image on my Christmas card using three colours.

Photograph showing coloured in image on my Christmas Card using three colours.

I started by stamping the ‘To You’ image onto the Basic White mat layer using Gray Granite ink. Using Lost Lagoon and Moody Mauve Stampin’ Blends I coloured in the stamped image. I then stuck the stamped mat layer onto the other mat layers before sticking to the card base.

For the sentiment I used the ‘Merry Christmas’ sentiment from the Ringed with Nature stamp set and using Moody Mauve ink I stamped it onto s strip of Basic White card stock. I then cut a Lost Lagoon mat layer and added the sentiment to this before adding to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish off the card I added 3 gems from the 2023-2025 In Color Dots.

I never thought these three colours would actually go together and I am really pleased with how the card turned out. Why not have a go at making a Christmas card using three colours and share what you make with me on my Facebook page.

Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
