Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop

Welcome to this month’s Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop.

This Month’s Theme is a Card Sketch.

As this card sketch is nice and simple I wanted to create a nice and simple card using punches and a sentiment. This card uses 2 punches, a simple sentiment, some embellishments and 3 different coloured card stock. This means that any one should be able to make it.

How to make my nice and simple card using punches

Photograph of nice and simple card using punches.

First I cut a A5 portrait card base using Basic White Thick card stock. I then cut a mat layer using Misty Moonlight card stock and a smaller mat layer using Basic White card stock and stuck them to the card base.

Next I punched out a circle using the 2 5/8″ circle die and Daffodil Delight card stock. This I stuck to the card front so it looks like a sun. I then punched out the boat twice using the Sailboat Builder punch. Once using Misty Moonlight card stock and another using Basic White card stock. I then added the Misty Moonlight boat base and mast to the card front followed by the two Basic White sails.

Next I added a ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment from the Go To Greetings stamp set. To finish off the card I added 3 of the smaller Daffodil Delight gems from the Glossy Dots Assortment.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my interpretation of the card sketch. Card sketches are good if you are suffering from no mojo or need an idea for a card. Why not have a go at making a nice and simple card using this card sketch. Remember I would love to see your creations.
