Welcome to this month’s Tech 4 Stampers Academy Blog Hop.
This month’s theme is: Flowers
Here in the UK Mother’s day is in March so as this month’s theme is Flowers I thought I would show you how to use your flowered papers to make a card for any occasion. We all have loads of pretty paper in our stash so why not use some to make similar cards and then add a sentiment when you need a card.
How to make a card for any occasion using your flowered papers.
First of all I started with a Basic White Thich landscape card base. Next I cut a mat layer using Lost Lagoon card stock. I then cut a couple of mat layer from the different sheets of Perennial Lavender designer series paper. After that I cut the mat layer into four quarters. To do this place your mat layer onto your trimmer with two opposite corners on the blade runner and then slowly cut along the line. Repeat this with the other two opposite corners. Next I stuck each piece of designer series onto the card front leaving a small border around each piece. You can see that I also swapped which side I was showing.
I then stamped my sentiments from the Perennial Postage stamp set onto Basic White cardstock using Lost Lagoon ink. Next I punched it out using the Hexagon Punch. After that I punched out a hexagon from Lost Lagoon card stock and cut it in half. I then glued each piece onto the back of my punched sentiment so that there was a border around it. After that I stuck it to the middle of my card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally I added three Purple Fine Shimmer Gems to the sentiment.
I hope that you have enjoyed seeing how easy it is to make a card for any occasion and use up some of your lovely papers. Why not have a go yourself and I would love to see what you make.
Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,

Love this designer series paper.
Gorgeous cards. I always am looking for ways to use DSP differently – thank you!
What a lovely way to use DSP and I love the way you’ve used the Heartfelt Hexagon punch. Tfs.
Love the cards Cheryl, and the layout is a good one for showing both sides of the patterned paper.
