Welcome to this month’s Stamp & Hop Blog Hop.
The theme this month is Sale-A-Bration.
This is one of my most favourite times of the year when for every £45 spent on products you get to choose a FREE product. I chose to use the Adorable Owls stamp set as my FREE product and to make these two Hoot Hoot Owl Cards.
How I made my Hoot Hoot Owl Card 1
I started my cutting two portrait Basic White card bases and put one aside for my second card. Next I cut a mat layer using Tahitian Tide card stock. I then cut a mat layer using one of the Starry Sky 2022-2024 InColor 6″x6″ Designer Series Papers. Using Tahitian Tide card stock I cut a 8cm x 8cm square and then a 7.5cm x 7.5cm piece of Basic White card stock.
I then stamped the owl image onto the 7.5cm x 7.5cm Basic White layer using Black Memento ink and coloured it in using Water Colouring Pencils and a Blender Pen. Next I stuck the layers onto the card base as per the photograph above.
How I finished off my Hoot Hoot Owl Card 1
I then took the It’s your day! sentiment and stamped it onto a scrap of Basic White card stock using Starry Sky ink. Next I punched the sentiment out and then punched the scallop oval in Tahitian Tide card stock using the Double Layer Punch. I stuck the two ovals together before adding them to the card. I finished off the card by adding some of the 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots.
How I made my Hoot Hoot Owl Card 2
First I started off by taking one of the Parakeet Party sheets of the 2022-2024 In Color 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Papers and one side at 14.5cm. Next I cut the longer edge at 5cm so I ended up with two pieces, one 5cm wide and the other 10cm wide. I stuck the larger piece of designer series paper and stuck it onto the card base. Next I stuck the smaller piece of designer series paper on top as per the photo above.
I then took the owl image and stamped it onto Basic White card stock using Black Memento ink and again coloured it in using Water Colouring Pencils and a Blender Pen. Next I punched it out using the Label Me Lovely punch and stuck it onto the card base.
How I finished off my Hoot Hoot Owl Card 2
I stamped the Hoot Hoot Your so cute sentiment using Parakeet Party ink and again punched the sentiment out and then punched the scallop oval in Parakeet Party card stock using the Double Layer Punch. I stuck the two ovals together before adding them to the card. Again I finished off the card by adding some of the 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots.
I hope that you have enjoyed seeing how I made my two Hoot Hoot Owl Cards and that they have given you and idea to have a go yourself. I love the second card as a way to use up your 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Papers. Please do share your cards onto my Facebook page.
Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
