Welcome to this month’s Ink, Stamp, Share Showcase Blog Hop

For my showcase blog hop this month I thought I would show you the Happy 50th Birthday Block Card that I made for a very special friend for her 50th birthday this month.

How to make the Happy 50th Birthday Block Card

I started by cutting and scoring the card base using the template below onto Basic White Thick card stock.

Next I cut the mat layers using Mint Macaron card stock. I then cut the Hand Penned DSP to fit the mat layers before adding to the mat layers. Then I stuck them onto the card base.

Next I stamped the matching flower image and stamped the matching solid infill images using Mint Macaron and Cinnamon Cider ink before die cutting it out. I then cut two rectangles of Cinnamon Cider card stock and stuck the die cut image onto one of them before sticking it to the left hand side of the card.

I then die cut the number 50 out of Mint Macaron card stock using the Playful Alphabet dies. To add some texture to the numbers I embossed them using the Tasteful Texture 3D embossing folder. Then i stuck them onto the remaining Cinnamon Cider card stock rectangle. Next I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set using Black Memento ink. I then stuck this onto the right hand side of the card base.

How to make the back panel

For the panel on the back of the card I cut a mat layer using Mint Macaron card stock and a mat layer using Basic White card stock.

On the Basic White mat layer I stamped the flower image again. I then stamped the infill solid images using Mint Macaron and Cinnamon Cider ink as before. Then I stuck this to the back panel of the card base.

To finish off the card I added some Basic Rhinestone Jewels.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my Happy 50th Birthday Block Card that I made for my friend’s 50th birthday. I know she loved it and was really impressed with it as was her family.
