Welcome to this month’s Tech 4 Stampers Academy Blog Hop.
This month’s theme is: A Colour Combo using 3 of the 2024-2026 In Colors.
For this blog hop I decided to make a gorgeous birthday card for her, the ladies in your life. During June I concentrated on using the Painted Lavender stamp set and matching dies to make some gorgeous cards on my weekly YouTube Lives. How to make my gorgeous birthday card for her.
First I cut a portrait card base using Basic White Thick card stock. I then cut a mat layer using Petunia Pop card stock. I also cut another smaller mat layer using Basic white card stock. Using the smaller Basic White mat layer I embossed it using one of the Basic 3D Embossing Folders. I then stuck the embossed mat layer onto the Petunia Pop mat layer.
Next using Shy Shamrock card stock I die cut out the longer leaves die cutting three of each one. I then stamped the single lavender flowers image using Pretty in Pink and Petunia Pop ink. I love how these colours complement each other. Next I laid them out on the card front o make a pretty posy before sticking down using Multipurpose glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals. I did have to cut some of the stems a bit shorter so that the leaves/stems were not the same length this made the flowers different lengths.
I then added a strip of ribbon across the mat layers and fixed the ends behind the mat layers using Glue Dots. Next I stamped the sentiment Happy Birthday using Petunia Pop ink onto Basic White card stock. This sentiment comes from the Full of Life stamp set which is this month’s Suite on my YouTube channel. I then punched out the sentiment out using the Labeled With Love punch or you could use the dies as with this stamp set you get to choose either a punch or dies. I added the sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and finished off the card using some Petunia Pop Shimmer Gems from the 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems.
I am really please in how this card turned out and will definitely be making some more using this design.
