Welcome to this month’s Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop
The theme this month is Goodbye/Hello to Stampin’ Up! products
I find this is of the year both exciting but also a sad time as new products are being released and old favourites are retiring. This year I will be saying Goodbye to the Beautiful Friendship stamp set. I have chosen to use the Beautiful Friendship stamp set to make some more quick and easy birthday cards. I have previously made these cards before but this time I chose to use the wonderful 2021-2023 In Colors.
Beautiful Friendship Birthday Card 1 and 2
First I started off by cutting four 10cm x 14.85cm Basic White mat layers. Then I put two to one side for cards 3 and 4. I then stamped the larger flower image in the top left corner using Polished Pink ink. Next I stamped the single flower image in two of the other corners. I then stamped the two flower buds again using Polished Pink ink.
Next I stamped the larger leaf image using Evening Evergreen ink and stamped the smaller leaf image using Soft Succulent ink. I then used the Pale Papaya ink to stamp the foxglove flower stem before finishing off the card using Soft Succulent ink to stamp on the sentiment.
I finished off the cards by cutting a card base using Evening Evergreen card stock and Polished Pink card stock and sticking the stamped mat layer onto it.
Beautiful Friendship Birthday Card 3 and 4
For the next 2 cards I duplicated the birthday cards by using Fresh Freesia ink for the flowers and kept the same ink colours for the other elements. Next I cut the card bases using Soft Succulent and Fresh Freesia card stock and stuck the stamped mat layers onto them.
I do so love the Beautiful Friends stamp set and love how quick and easy these birthday cards are to make.
I hope you have enjoyed my blog today. Although I am really sad to say Goodbye to the Beautiful Friendship stamp set, I do love the new In Colors and how well they go together.
