Welcome to this month’s Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop
The theme this month is Garden/Wildlife
When I saw this theme Garden/Wildlife I thought about a couple of stamp sets to use. I loved the Snailed It stamp set and matching dies when I saw them in the January-June Mini Catalogue and it was sitting on the shelf having never been used. So I decided I wanted to make a Garden Snail Z-Fold card for this Blog Hop.
How to make the Garden Snail Z-Fold Card
I started by cutting a sheet of A4 Basic White Thick card stock in half along the short edge so I had a strip of cardstock 10.5cm wide. Next I scored it along the long edge at 14.8cm and at 7.4cm. I then folded and scored along each scored edge to make a Z-Fold card base.
Next I cut two mat layers. One 14.3cm x 10cm piece of Soft Succulent card stock and the other a 13.8cm x 9.5cm piece of Basic White card stock. I then stamped the small flower image from the Beautiful Memories stamp set along the bottom edge of the Basic White card stock using Evening Evergreen ink.
Next I used the Soft Succulent ink and a blending brush to smooch ink along the bottom of the Basic White mat layer over the stamped flowers. I then used the Balmy Blue ink and another blending brush to smooch ink along the top half of the Basic White mat layer.
Next using scraps of Basic White card I stamped the snail and the toadstool images onto the card using Tuxedo Memento ink. I then coloured each one in using Stampin’ Up! blends before die cutting out. Next I stuck them onto the Basic White stamped mat layer using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I then stuck this mat layer onto the Soft Succulent mat layer before sticking onto the Z-Fold card base. Remember to only put glue on half of the Soft Succulent mat layer so it only sits on the top piece of card.
Finishing off the card
To finish of the front of the card I stamped two butterflies from the Beautiful Memories using Polished Pink ink. I then decided to stamp the small flower image from the Beautiful Memories stamp set along the bottom edge on the inside of the card using Evening Evergreen ink.
I hope that you have enjoyed seeing how I have made my Garden Snail Z-Fold Card and that it has given you an idea to have ago yourself. Remember you can use any stamp set to make a Z-Fold Card.
