Tech 4 Stampers Academy Blog Hop Title

Welcome to the Tech 4 Stampers Academy Blog Hop.

The Theme this month is a Fun Fold Card.

This month we have been challenged to make a Fun Fold card so I decided to make on for any occasion. This design has appeared on a number of other demo groups so I decided to go with the basic idea and change it from a piece of card stock with flaps to a full card with flaps.

How I made my Fun Fold Card for Any Occasion.

I started with a basic A6 portrait card base using Basic White (Thick) card stock. Next I cut the two flaps. One piece 10.5 cm x 8.5cm and another piece 10 cm x 6.5cm both using Basic White (Thick) card stock. I then made the flap by scoring a 1cm line along the long edge on 10.5cm x 8.5cm piece and then along the short edge on the 10cm x 6.5cm.

Next I cut mat layers using Fresh Freesia card stock and Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper, First I stuck a mat layer to the inside of the card making sure that the small flap hinge was hidden by the inside mat layer. Then I stuck the large flap onto the back of the mat layer for the front of the card so that when it was stuck to the front of the card the hinge was hidden. Next I stuck the DSP layer onto the front mat layer before sticking the whole piece onto the card front.

I then stuck the mat layers and DSP onto each flap and left it to dry.

How I made the front panel of my Fun Fold Card for Any Occasion

First I stamped the large daisy image from the Cheerful Daisies stamp set using Black Memento ink. I then stamped the infill image using Fresh Freesia ink. Next I stamped the flower middle using Lemon Lolly ink before die cutting it out using the Cheerful Daisies dies. Next I punched out some leaves using the Boughs Punch and Lemon Lime Twist card stock which I added to the front panel. I then tied a piece of the Lemon Lime Twist ribbon from the Ribbon Duo Combo pack before I stuck the daisy onto the front of the front panel using Dimensionals.

Finally I cut a Basic White mat layer and stamped two corners with a daisy and leaves before sticking inside the card.

I love how this card evolved as I made it and it will be handy to have ready for a future occasion. I do hope you have enjoyed seeing my Fun Fold card for any occasion and why not have a go at making it yourself. Please do share you makes onto my Facebook page as I would love to see what you make.

Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
