Welcome to Friend of SUBA Blog Hop. This month’s theme is Animals

We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrator friends that have met through attending fantastic Simply Unique Business Angels courses, run by Louise Sims and Pip Todman, to help with the technology side of our business.  They are highly recommended by all of us.  You can find out more here.

Welcome to this month’s Friends of SUBA blog Hop. The theme this month is Animals so what better stamp set to use than Animal Outing and its matching dies.

I also chose to use the Tropical Chic stamp set and matching dies together with the bird stamp from High Tide.

Front of card

I started off by stamping the hippo in memento ink and colouring in using the Light and Dark Smoky Slate blends. Then I used the circle from the Stitched Framelits to cut out the middle of a piece of Whisper White card stock.

Next I stamped a leaf from Tropical Chic onto the card with the middle removed. The colours I used were Pear Pizzazz and Granny Apple Green. I die cut matching leaves using the dies and stuck them to the top of the card to make a canopy. Where the leaves joined I stuck a stamped flower using Mango Melody and matching die.

Inside of card

For the inside I ran a sponge brayor over the die cut circle using Real Red, Mango Melody Ink pad. I love how you can achieve a sun set sky so easily. Then I stamped the birds from the High Tide stamp set in Gray Granite.

I then cut a piece of Whisper White card stock to go inside the card.By matching up the cut circle to the cut out circle in the card front I was able to line up the circle and stick it to the card inside.

Finished Card

I hope you have enjoyed visiting my blog today and seeing the card that I made. Please do leave comments as you hop around onto the other demos.

Happy stampin’g n crafting,
