Welcome to this month’s Ink, Stamp, Share Showcase Blog Hop

This month I am sharing how I made a Flower Book Fold Card

This month I decided that I would have a go at making a Book Fold card as I have never made one before. I decided to use the flower stamp from the Greatest Journey stamp set as it is a stamp that you would not expect to see in this stamp set.

How I made the Flower Book Fold Card.

I started with a landscape card base using Coastal Cabana card stock. I then scored 10.5cm in from the edge of the top of the card. Next I cut two 10cm x 10cm pieces of Basic White card stock. One for the front and one for the inside. I then cut a 3.8cm x 10cm piece of Basic White card stock which I then embossed using the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder.

First I stamped the flower image onto the card front using Black Memento ink. I then coloured in the flowers using Water Colour Pencils and a Blender Pen. Next I stamped the star image onto the card front as there was a lot of white space.

How I made the inside of the Flower Fold Card

Using the second piece of 10cm x 10cm Basic White card I stamped the star image again using Daffodil Delight ink. I then stamped the small flower image using Coastal Cabana ink.

How I made up the Flower Fold Card

First I stuck the coloured flower image onto the front of the card. Next I stuck the embossed layer onto the side of the card. I then tied a piece of Coastal Cabana Twine from the Three Twine Combo Pack. Then I stuck the small piece of the card front to the card base to make a book. (This is why it is called a Book Fold). Next I stuck the inside piece of card onto the inside of the card.

Finally I stamped the sentiment ‘ We’re in this TOGETHER’ in Coastal Cabana ink and die cut it out using one of the dies from the Beautiful Shapes dies. I then stuck it onto the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing how to make a Book Fold card. It is so easy that I will be making more in the future. Why not have a go at making your own Book Fold card and share it onto my Facebook page.

Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
