Tech 4 Stampers Academy Blog Hop Title

Welcome to this month’s Tech 4 Stampers Academy Blog Hop.

This month’s theme is: Nature

Photograph of both Floral Anniversary Cards

This month I have chosen to show you 2 floral anniversary cards which I made using two different colouring techniques. The Layers Of Beauty stamp set and matching dies are perfect for colouring in using different colours for each flower.

How to make the Floral Anniversary Card using Ink Pads and Ink Refills

Photograph showing one of the two Floral Anniversary Cards

First I cut a Basic White card stock mat layer for the stamped image. As I wanted to use the ink pads on this card I used Clear Versamark ink pad to stamp the large flower image onto this mat layer. I then grabbed the Highland Heather ink pad, the Bubble Bath ink pad, the Lemon Lolly ink pad and the Granny Apple Green ink pad. Using these and a water painter I coloured in each flower. When I wanted the colour to be a bit darker I used that colour ink refill. I then realised that I needed an orange for the daisy flower centres so I used Flirty Flamingo ink pad for them. I then put the stamped mat layer to one sided to dry whilst I made the 2nd floral anniversary card.

How to make the Floral Anniversary Card using Blends

Again I cut a Basic White card stock mat layer and stamped the flower image using Black Memento ink. On a separate scrap of Basic White card stock I stamped the image again but only inking up the large flower. I then used Stampin’ Blends to colour in the stamped image missing out colouring the large flower as I wanted to do the Spotlight Technique with it. I used the same colours as the 1st card but swapped out the Flirty Flamingo for the Peach Pie Stampin’ Blend as it was too pinky for the daisy centres.

I then fussy cut out the large flower image using Paper Snips although I could have used the matching die to do this. Then I added the cut flower image on top of the one on the stamped mat layer using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

How to make up the 2 Floral Anniversary Cards

First I cut 2 Basic White card stock portrait card bases and 2 Granny Apple Green card stock mat layers. I then stuck one of the mat layers onto each card base. Next I stuck on the stamped and coloured images

Next I stamped the ‘Happy Anniversary’ sentiment onto a strip of Basic White card stock and stuck it to a strip of Granny Apple Green card stock. I added a sentiment to each card again using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I thoroughly enjoyed making these two floral anniversary cards especially the colouring in. Why not have a go at making some and share your project onto my Facebook page.
