Ink, Stamp, Share Monthly Blog Hop Image

Welcome to this month’s Ink, Stamp, Share Monthly Blog Hop.

The theme this month is Sale-a bration.

This is one of my most favourite times of the year when for every £45 spent on products you get to choose a FREE product. I chose to use three FREE products for my card. The Dainty Flowers 12″x12″ Designer Series Paper together with the In the Country stamp set and the Beautifully Happy stamp set for my sentiment and make a fancy fold card to cheer someone up.

Since Covid there has been an increase in people who are suffering with mental health and as a mental health first aider I try to support those who are in a bad place so I decided to make a fancy fold card to cheer that person up.

How I made my fancy fold card to cheer someone up.

I started off by cutting a 15cm x 27cm piece of Mossy Meadow cards stock for my card base. Then I scored each end at 4.5cm and 9cm and folded each end to make flaps.

Next I chose a sheet of the Dainty Flowers DSP and cut it at 14.5cm so I had a strip of DSP. Starting from one end I cut two pieces 4.5cm wide, a piece 8.5cm wide and another two pieces 4.5cm wide. I then laid them out side by side so that the pattern ran correctly. Next I stuck each piece onto the card base. By laying them out before you stick them down you should be able to follow the pattern on the DSP.

Next I took a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and die cut two pieces using the middle sized Scalloped Contours die, one for the inside of the card and one for the outside. On one piece I stamped the sentiments ‘Sending Happy Thoughts’ and ‘For a feeling – better kind of day from the Beautifully Happy stamp set using Mossy Meadow ink.

On the other one I stamped the staircase image from the In The Country stamp set using Black Memento ink. I decided to add some colour to the stamped image so I used Melon Mambo and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Write Markers to colour in the leaves and flowers. I then took a strip of Mossy Meadow card stock and made a belly band for the card and stuck the stamped image onto it.

Finally I added a Brushed Brass Butterfly to the card as I like butterflies.

Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
